Foto: YouTubeTaylor Swift has made a big announcement today via YouTube live chat. The singer's new album, entitled Red, will be out October 22.
Amongst a few fans who got to get close to her in Nashville, Taylor announced the big news. The record will contain 16 tracks, which is an unusual amount of songs, but Taylor praised her record label for allowing her to choose from 30 to 35 pieces she worked on.
"I am so excited for you to hear the new direction of things," the sweet singer told a fan. She also confessed the feelings behind the album are crazy, since she based it on her frustration, confusion and semi-toxic relationships, and "there's nothing beige about that."
From what we could hear from her first single, which she played during the chat and said it was about an ex-boyfriend, Taylor is still heading in the pop direction her fans have come to expect. In "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," she croons a catchy chorus, "You called me up again tonight / but this time I'm telling you / We are never, ever ever getting back together."
