Foto: Getty ImagesAs we all know, Steven Tyler did not renew his contract for a third season on American Idol. Now the Aerosmith frontman looks back and talks about the show.
"It was something to do while the storm blew by, to be honest," Steven told Rolling Stone magazine about taking on the gig. The rocker was feuding with his bandmates at the time he took the job.
"I loved it and hated it. It was a great job, I sat next to J.Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life."
He also revealed that producers were trying to make him the new Simon Cowell-type judge. "The show's about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the piss out of the kids and I don't have that in me. That's not what I'm about. That's more about that other guy. Not me."
It is kind of sad that he took on this opportunity and is now sort of trashing it. He says it himself, he liked the money. Does this imply he is a sell-out?
