The world's most beloved rocker Dave Grohl is taking up the role of filmmaker for a new documentary entitled Sound City.
The film recounts the story of the iconic recording studio through interviews with the artists and producers. The series of teasers feature the likes of Metallica's Lars Ulrich, producer and Nine Inch Nails genius Trent Reznor and producer Rick Rubin looking back at their time at the studio -- where many rock classics like Nirvana's Nevermind, Rage Against the Machine's self-titled debut and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours were made.
Those who want to hear the rocker do what he does best can revel in the film's music as Grohl and former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic recorded some jams for soundtrack with producer Butch Vig.
As huge fans of nerding out about our favorite aritsts in rock docs, we're looking forward to this one.
Sound City is set to be distributed by the Foos own Roswell Films. Check out the clips below.
